Hiroki Nakamura utilises artisanal Japanese construction methods – some of which in jeopardy of obsolescence – to craft each Visvim collection and has been collecting rare pieces of denim since he was 14 year old. Growing up in Tokyo and studying in Alaska has gifted Nakamura with rich life experiences, allowing him to produce cult-status menswear each season. A take on the classic American boat shoe, these Maliseet Folk’s sleek uppers are made from glossy leather and sit atop a natural cork footbed, offering excellent breath-ability and moisture absorption for incredible barefoot comfort. The thick sole is reinforced with a TPU heel stabilizer, and uses innovative insert-moulded construction, requiring no glue, for enhanced durability.
