Based in New York, No. 288 is led by designers Jung Suh and Benyam Assefa, who draw upon their diverse backgrounds (respectively from South Korea and Ethiopia) to elevate the classic sneaker silhouette into modern craftsmanship with a minimal aesthetic. Each shoe has the Roman numerals ‘II VIII VIII’ hand stitched into the spine, a finishing touch which set their sneakers apart.
