Slovakian footwear brand Novesta and its minimalist designs collide with the work-wear inspired ethos of UK based brand Universal Works this season. The Marathon trainer is a minimal runner with an 80s silhouette. Made in Novesta’s historic factory in Partizanské, Slovakia, this pair boast a full Burel wool upper – a traditional Portuguese fabric made by weaving wool into a thick fabric and then felting it to create a weather resistant, hard-wearing surface. A soft lining, heel pull loop, a cushioned EVA midsole and Novesta’s signature natural rubber outsole for better grip complete the sporting look.
