This season the Sneaker Exchange challenges adidas Consortium’s retail partners to overcome geographical distance and cultural differences to find common ground and collaborate on a footwear pack. Here, New Jersey’s Packer Shoes and Berlin’s Solebox are inspired by the famous Silfra Rift, a point on the Mid-Atlantic Ridge where North American and Eurasian tectonic plates meet, and use this marvel as the basis for the design of these Energy Boosts. The Primeknit uppers of this crystal clear pair resemble air bubbles rising to the water's surface and a clear, supportive cage wraps the foot, printed with a depth chart line graphic and precise co-ordinates – longitude and latitude – of each store’s location. Underfoot sits boost™ cushioning and a signature ADIWEAR outsole and completing the striking and aquatic gradient, reflective flat laces add an element of flair to this collaborative pair.
