Australian sneaker store Highs & Lows and ASICS combine their collaborative expertise and have created a new ‘Submariner’ iteration of the Gel-Mai silhouette. This unique '90s runner is realised with premium leather and suede uppers and exudes a nautical aesthetic. Inspired by submarines and their staff in the Australian army, this pair also feature navy neoprene at the tongue and lateral side, while the medial side features a durable micro-ripstop trim. A stealthy and hidden detail is included at the taping of the tongue, where a raised morse code print spells out ‘HAL’. This covetable style is finished with a contrasting white rubber sole unit underfoot and is decorated further with a sock liner graphic, a nod to the rough seas often traversed by naval vessels.
