Jerry Lorenzo’s aesthetic often builds upon American icons, and this time, under his Fear of God ESSENTIALS line, he looks towards the sporting realm and partners with the American label, Converse . Reimagining the classic Chuck Taylor by adding a touch of street sensibility, the designer teams the famous natural white canvas with a swath of black leather up the tongue and a heel loop to keep the extended laces in place. It’s finished with the signature rubber tooling, but that’s subtly changed, too. The supportive toe cap is the same black as the tongue and an ESSENTIALS tab joins an All Star tab on the heel.
