Rick Owens’ DRKSHDW partners with Converse this season, with that iconic Chuck 70 being the model of choice. But, since Rick is involved here, the approach is much more experimental and rebellious than we’re used to. It’s still recognisable as the shoe we’re all familiar with, though the tongue is extended and the rubber toe cap square shaped to nod to the designer’s love of exaggerated proportions. There are other changes, too, like the waxed cotton twill across the uppers and the co-branded license plate detailed at the heels.
