On the track since 1972, the Cortez is Bill Bowerman's first masterpiece, created to be lighter and more weatherproof than any other shoe. As classic as they come, more than 35 years later, Nike update the running-inspired Cortez model with a women-specific fit. The shoe sits atop an EVA midsole with leather uppers with textured bumper and saw-tooth edging to the sole, complete with an embroidered Swoosh to the side wall.
