Dries Van Noten founded his eponymous label in 1958, drawing on his family’s rich heritage as master tailors and teaming it with his grandfather’s passion for reworking second-hand and vintage clothing, crafting them into pieces suitable for the contemporary wardrobe. The SS’16 collection is informed by an imaginary meeting of screen icon Marilyn Monroe with surrealist Salvador Dali; two creative provocateurs offering an exploration of contrasts. The Vinnie Leopard Bomber utilises one of Van Noten's signature prints. A staple in the label's collections, the Vinnie is constructed from an iridescent leopard print to the front with a stitched grid detailing whilst the inside is constructed from a solid navy, allowing the jacket to become entirely reversible. Styled with a two-way zipper, pockets on either side, ribbed collar, cuffs and hemline. A true statement piece from the Danish master of contemporary design.
