Inspired by the past but constantly looking to the future, we unite with Boston-based retailer Bodega as part of adidas Consortium's Sneaker Exchange program. A flagship model for 2017, the Iniki Runner deliberately toys with the juxtaposition of classic and modern, with the boost™ sole adding an ultra-contemporary finish. A collaborative release, the uppers are reworked in a patchwork, extending the theme of repurposing and ever-evolving roles. Taking influences from Boro denim, the uppers pay homage to the Japanese Sashiko stitching method, originally used for repairing jeans but used increasingly for decorative purposes in contemporary menswear.
