When Nike’s Air Carnivore first launched in 1993, the result was bold. Like, really bold. And that’s the approach taken in the sportswear label’s latest collaboration with Comme des Garçons , though there are some deviations from the model’s norm. The shoe’s performance heritage remains as usual, with a neoprene bootie sleeve, anti-inversion straps and a chunky, Air-cushioned sole. They are, however, coloured entirely in white — as is typical of Rei Kawakubo — and feature reflective overlays to push the avant-garde look even further.
