adidas SPZL curator Gary Aspden pays tribute to his roots this season, following up from the 2019 release with another version of the Blackburn. And it’s just as clean-cut and casual as we remember, too, with simple design lines, a sports-derived T-toe and serrated three stripes. This time, though, the Lancashire Rose theme is leant in on a little more heavily. The uppers are cut from red suede and feature collegiate green at the tongues and heels — inverting the palette used on the first model — and there’s even a gold foil rose, along with the usual model designation at the sidewalls, detailed below the collar.
